The firm recently made donations to two non-profits to honor its client Tony Grant of Salem. (See News Section below entitled 1.2 Million Dollar Settlement – Lack of Railing results in Wheelchair Fall – Facial Fractures) Easter Seals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut and Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Connecticut, each received a check for $2,250.
Grant has been disabled since birth by cerebral palsy. He is non-ambulatory, is cortically blind and suffers from a seizure disorder. He is part of the Easter Seals program in Norwich which he attends daily. He and his parents, Rita and Tim Grant have lived at a Habitat of Humanity home for many years. The land on which their home is located was donated by Mrs. Rachel Robinson, widow of Jackie Robinson.
Accepting the gift to Easter Seals were Allen Gouse, Executive Director, Hugh Caldwell, Director of Adult Programs and Kathy Buck, Assistant Director of Adult Programs. Of note, the firm’s founding partner, Dale P. Faulkner, was the first president of the SE Connecticut Easter Seals Board of Directors when the organization began here in the early 80’s.
Accepting the gift to Habitat for Humanity was its Executive Director and CEO, Terri O’Rourke.
